Urban Detour Vesta is one of the most inexpensive, trendy 3 Wheeler buggy that’s surprisingly lightweight, handles well even on rough terrains, easy to fold, has a good sized shopping basket, and fits in most car boots.
Urban Detour Vesta: The Pros
The Vesta is a baby stroller that has a lot of useful features. It weighs only slightly over 8 kg (17.6 lbs), and it can stand on its own when folded.
The seat pad is reversible and you can get them on striking, contrasting colours which makes it look good. It’s also easily removable from the seat and is washable.
It’s suitable to be used from birth as the back support reclines for more than 120 degrees, which is the minimum angle for pushchairs back support required by UK law. It does not recline to more than 150 degrees which is best for newborn babies, as lying totally flat on their back facilitates their spinal development. Bottomline: you can use it for newborns, but it’s good practice not to leave your newborn baby in the Vesta for too long and too often.
Although it’s not an all-terrain (3 wheeler) buggy, the Vesta, much to our surprise, is quite easy to push. It’s easy to pull up and push down stairs, handles well on kerbs, pavements and manages to offer a smooth ride even on rough surfaces.
One thing we like about it a lot is the storage basket which offers a generous room for your stuff.
Other Pros worthy to note:
The fabric is easy enough to clean with a wet sponge.
Easy to fold and unfold
Lockable double front swivel wheel
padded bumper bar
Urban Detour Vesta: The Cons
The Vesta is not the easiest pushchair to carry by hand, so it’s great if you want a pushchair great for using outdoors, but not so great if you are going to be carrying it around a lot while it’s folded.
The Vesta is quite weak in terms of Adjustability. Although it is suitable from birth, it does not have a reversible seat unit so you don’t have the option to have your baby facing you. Its handle height is not adjustable, the number of back rest position is limited, and the leg rest is not adjustable.
