Quinny Speedi SX 3-Wheeler Buggy

Like all Baby Pushchairs in the Quinny range, the Quinny Speedi SX is a groovy looking 3-Wheeler Buggy. It can also function as a travel system if bought with a car seat and a carry cot, and offers a super smooth ride for your darling baby, is easy to use, adjustable, has got convenient hand-operated brakes and is easy to fold and unfold.

Pros

While the three pneumatic tyres and front swivel wheel makes this a highly manoeuvrable, all-terrain pushchair perfect for off road use, make sure to always bring with you the supplied tyre pump because the tyres can be a real pain in the neck when punctured.

The Speedi is designed for heavy use that’s why it’s versatile and sporty looking. It’s got an adjustable footrest and backrest, and its frame is lightweight and made from aluminium.

One of the cool things about this Quinny buggy is that the brakes are like that of a bike’s – they are handbrakes instead of the usual footbrakes. It’s such a novelty for us that we are quite tickled by this feature.

It’s quite easy to fold and unfold and is so easy to push. Your child will be cosy and comfy in it even if you use it on gravelly and bumpy surfaces. Plus, it’s a large pushchair that offers ample seating space can almost be assured that your child will easily fall asleep in it.

Cons

When folded, this three wheel baby stroller can occupy a good-sized boot. So make sure you have ample boot space before you buy the Speedi.

The rear wheels have a very wide wheel base, making it a bit awkward sometimes going through narrow doors.

The hood doesn’t really cover the child’s eyes especially if the seat is in recline position so you may need to improvise for this.

The shopping bag is not the most spacious, but it does serve its purpose.

Conclusion

The Quinny Speedi SX 3-Wheeler Buggy is not a city pram nor is it a holiday pram because it’s not lightweight nor is it compact. However, if you live in the country or you like taking your darling child for frequent walks with your pet dog on rough areas, or you plan to do buggy fit classes, then this pushchair is perfect for you!

This pushchair can also act as a travel system and can only be used from birth if purchased with a suitable car seat like the Maxi Cosi Cabrio and the Dreami carry cot.

Quinny Buzz 4 in Colour Racoon

The Quinny Buzz 4 Baby Travel System is probably one of the best-looking, trendiest Travel Systems around. It’s an absolute dream to push, steers very easily, can cope with just about any surface no matter how bumpy, and simple to fold and unfold. It’s perfect for fashionista yummy mummys and daddys who drives cars with roomy boots and likes to go outdoors or to get fit and doesn’t mind a heavy and bulky pushchair.

Quinny Buzz 4: The Pros

This baby pushchair is a dream to push and because of its pneumatic tyres, handles itself quite well on most terrains – even on the bumpiest surfaces like gravel lanes and country roads.

Everything about the Buzz 4 is adjustable – lockable front swivel wheels, adjustable footrest, the back can be reclined to 3 positions, the seat unit can face either way, and the handles are easily adjustable, too.

Both Buzz 4 and Buzz 3 comes  with 2 seats nowadays. One is a smaller seat suitable for kids up to 20 kg,and another seat for when they get bigger. This is very much welcomed by parents when it first came out as the previous model lacked this.

The extendable leg rest, padded shoulder straps, padded seat, fully reclinable back support, adjustable and padded 5- point harness, padded bumper bar, and UV protective hood makes it a luxurious experience for your sleeping baby. It’s easy to feel that it’s super soft and comfy inside, and it’s shock resistant – so your child will surely love it.

A simple but endearing feature we love about the Buzz 4 is the self-unfolding hydraulics technology. When you want to unfold it, just release a mechanism and it unfolds all by itself – coooool!

Other Pros worthy to note:

• Made of lightweight matte silver aluminium, it’s a definite looker
• Robust, pneumatic wheels – can cope with all terrains
• Easy to fold and unfold

Quinny Buzz 4 Travel System: The Cons

Probably the worst thing we can say about this stylish, good-looking pushchair is the poor storage space. It’s almost a practical joke, the storage space – a clip on bag hanging at the bottom of the pushchair.

Also, you can’t adjust the seat to a full flat position.

The buggy is also rather bulky – when folded, the Buzz 4 can almost fill out the entire boot of a medium sized car. If you have a car with a small boot, there’s a possibility you could squeeze the baby pushchair in there if you detach the easily removable wheels.

Weighing nearly 15 kg, you will definitely tone those arms by carrying the Buzz 4 everyday (which is a good thing, right?), however some parents may find it rather heavy so if you want to buy it make sure you bear this in mind. It also lacks a carry handle (unlike Maclaren models) so you may need to use both hands, making it less convenient to carry when you need to.

Conclusion

The Quinny Buzz 4 Baby Travel System may not be the best pushchair when it comes to storage space, and neither is it light nor compact, but it is a highly adjustable, stable, versatile, shockproof, highly manoeuvrable, comfy to push and extremely good-looking travel system. However much we fault it, Quinny Buzz 4 is such an eye candy, we just can’t help but look past its flaws!

The Quinny Buzz 3 Three-Wheeler Buggy is a stylish, fashionable all-terrain buggy that has easily adjustable features, easy to clean fabric, quick release wheels, and efficient brakes.

Quinny Buzz 3: The Pros

Quinny is a brand known for having designs that are quite popular with young and fashion-conscious parents. If you are one, you probably like knowing which celebrities are spotted with their trendy pushchairs, and you probably like to know which exact model and colour they were pushing. Speaking of which, Myleen Klass and Charlotte Church had been spotted pushing Quinny Buzz 3 recently.

The Buzz is definitely a good looking stroller, but it’s not just all-looks-but-no-substance; in fact, it’s strong in many other areas, too. We think that the second strongest point of this 3 wheeler Buzz is that almost every feature is not just adjustable, but easily and conveniently adjustable:

• It has a reversible seat unit, so you can have your child facing away from or towards you.
• The adjustable handles are made with rubber-covered handlebars that are soft to the touch. The handle height can be adjusted from 101 cm to 110 cm – which is quite handy for tall people. It’s also great for couples with a sizable height difference between them. In my estimate the people who will find this handle height range comfortable are people from 5′4″ to 6′4″, but don’t take my word for it. • The seat positions are adjustable – there are 2 recline positions in rearward-facing mode, and 3 recline positions in forward-facing mode
• The leg rest is adjustable, giving maximum comfort and leg support for your precious baby.

Another feature that caught our attention is the pneumatic tyres at the back. These air-filled tyres give a smooth, more comfy ride for your baby. If you have other things in your boot, you can actually remove these easy-release tyres for easier storage. With regards to the front wheels, the double swivel wheels at the front are lockable – which contributes to a less bumpy ride when you are on rougher terrains.

The brakes are quite simple to apply – step on the red pedal on the right for ‘on’ and grey on the left for ‘off’. It’s pretty straightforward, unlike the brakes of other pushchairs.

Quinny Buzz 3: The Cons
Weighing almost 13 kg, some parents may find it heavy, but this is quite common of 3-wheeler buggies anyway.

The Quinny Buzz 3 does have a slight let down – the storage space. It’s actually just a clip-on zip-up changing bag that attaches at the bottom of the frame at the back of the baby pushchair. It’s not tiny, but it’s not big either and it’s not easily accessible. Also, if you are particularly long legged you may find yourself having to take shorter strides to avoid kicking the bag.

Some parents complained before about the automatic unfolding mechanism, saying that it sometimes unfolds when they didn’t want it to. However, this is most likely because they didn’t “lock” the pushchair by using the folding clip on the side (see the video below for a demo). You’ll need to use this clip to lock the pushchair and keep it folded.

Conclusion
The Quinny Buzz 3 Wheeler Buggy is a great all-round off-road pushchair that looks great, easy to use, easy to adjust, and fun to push. It can be heavy and bulky for some, and the storage space is quite limited, but over all we recommend the Quinny Buzz 3 because it’s a trendy, good quality pushchair that has a lot of useful and functional strong points.
