The Silver Cross Halo Travel System is Silver Cross’ latest addition to their range of versatile, stylish, compact and lightweight pushchair range. If you’re looking for a pushchair you can take anywhere and store in the smallest spaces, you’ll love the Halo. It’s suitable from birth to toddler years.

The Pros
Many parents are raving about the Halo’s good looks and unique design. It’s lightweight, easy to fold with one hand, and surprisingly compact that you can even fit it inside the boot of a BMW Mini!

It’s got an adjustable Ultra Violet protective hood with sun visor, making it perfect for when you go on holidays to sunny places.

The extendable leg support makes it a more comfy ride for your child.

Perhaps one of its best features is the security and safety your child will enjoy when it’s used as a pram. The chassis forms a halo of metal around the baby which kinda gives a protective but invisible “hands off” message to strangers who just can’t help themselves when they see an irresistibly gorgeous little princess (or prince) like yours.

It’s available in 4 colours (base colours of blue, green, black and grey) that are rather trendy looking. Be prepared to receive compliments from strangers if you get it.

Silver Cross Halo Travel System: The Cons

If you look at the picture you can easily spot where the Halo disappoints: the shopping bag. Or lack thereof.

The HALO doesn’t really have a proper storage basket. For some reason we still haven’t quite figured out, the Halo’s idea of “innovative” storage system is a string of flexible cords you’re supposed to wrap around your belongings. Talk about impractical and dare we say, ridiculous.

On a positive note the chassis is sturdy enough to hold a light enough shopping bag or a changing bag. That said, the Halo seems to have been made for short trips where you don’t need to take the entire house with you save a few nappies and wet wipes.

A few people who own Halo have remarked that while the suspension is quite good for the child (most kids enjoy a bumpy ride anyway), the pusher could find it a bit uncomfortable as the handle vibrates easily when used on bumpy surfaces like cobbles. So if you plan to buy just one all-around pushchair and you are going to use it a lot on rough surfaces you might want to consider an 3-wheeler pushchair instead like the Mountain Buggy or Quinny Speedi SX.
