As it is she will most definately lose the nail. Three batches of the mothercare dandelion chairs have been recalled but we had not seen the notice. Both silver cross and mothercare are playing down the seriousness of the fault and are not saying what it is. Silver cross have been both apologetic and generous in trying to deal with us, however I feel strongly that this issue should be addressed in the national press to ensure more people see it including anyone who bought their chair second hand. On mothercare's site the fault described as "small hazard" and SX call it a "minor hazard" I feel sure if they had seen a baby with a finger caught in the frame they would review this opinion!
