Pros
The price includes a variety of pushchair accessories like a detachable front apron, a fleece-lined footmuff, a changing bag, etc. so you’ll feel like you’re getting so much for what you pay for.

The Freeway has 4 wheels, adjustable foot plate, an adjustable handle bar, lockable front swivel wheels, adjustable back, a reversible seat and a large storage basket at the bottom.

The changing bag is quite handy. It has plenty of nice features like separate compartments useful for separating dirty or wet stuff from the clean and dry ones, a bottle holder and changing mat.

Silver Cross Freeway is suitable from birth and has 4 sets of self-centering, lockable swivel wheels with a easy to use one-touch brake system.

Everything about it is easily adjustable – the back recline, the hood, the leg rest, the handles, and the pushchair itself can be used as a pram, a stroller or a travel system (if you buy it with the Silver Cross Ventura Car Seat).

One of its strongest points is its versatile handle, which can be adjusted from 60 cm to 100 cm – so it can cater to pushers of varying heights. This is particularly useful if say, the baby’s parents are quite tall but the babysitter or grandparents are quite short.

Weighing at 14 kg with the seat attached to it, you can imagine how you might find it heavy to carry up and down stairs. (Or you can look at it as weight training – good for toning those arms!). Without the pram seat, the chassis is about 6.5 kg.

While the storage basket is relatively big, you can easily see from the pictures here how accessing things from it could be rather awkward, especially when the leg rest and apron are hanging down.

Its folded dimensions are around 40 x 115 x 50 cm so some people may find this rather chunky and especially heavy when folded; so take note if you are OK with this and if it can fit in your car boot and storage closet at home.

A minor flaw a couple of parents have expressed in group discussions is that you’ll need a big boot to store the entire pushchair in along with its bells and whistles.
