The Mosaic One as a Travel System is suitable from birth to 3 years of age. It comes with a Graco car seat, but you can buy the Mosaic One as a stand alone pushchair.

Graco Mosaic One: The Pros

It’s not very bulky and folds down to a small enough size to fit in any medium sized car boot. For your convenience, you can easily remove the wheels to give you more storage flexibility. It has a lightweight aluminium frame with oval tubing, weighs only 9 kg and can even fit in a Corsa boot no problem. It folds in an umbrella fashion and relatively easy to fold with one hand, but better to fold it with two.

It gives a smooth ride, and is very easy to push and steer, but be aware that although it has all-round suspension, the Mosaic One is NOT an off-roader so don’t expect it to remain super smooth when used on rough terrains. I’ve read reviews from parents who bought strollers without first understanding which types of pushchairs are best for what purpose, and then they moaned when the model they bought was inappropriate to their lifestyle. Please don’t be one of those.

The front wheels are swivel ones with an autolock mechanism, and it has 6 wheels for extra manoeuvrability. The brakes is operated with a single on/off cable braking system. It’s quite easy and simple to operate.

The seat reclines in a multi-position, continuous way and you can simply adjust the back support with one hand.

Another thing I love about it is the pocket on the back of the hood – very handy when you need an easily accessible place to store your mobile phone and other personal effects.

Thy raincover is a bit fiddly at first, but once you get used to it, it’s no bother. It also fits over the pushchair even with the car seat attached to the pushchair. When folding the pushchair, it’s advisable that you remove the raincover first.

Actual owners vouch that it’s very easy to use, the car seat attaches very easily on the pram, and it’s no bother getting on buses with it or using it in public transportation facilities.

The car seat attaches via a one-click technology which means that the car seat locks automatically onto the pushchair – so no need to disturb your sleeping baby. It can also be used as a rocking chair, but you can also stabilize it with the handle so that you can use it as a feeding station. It’s got an adjustable hood, and it is a group 0+ rearward facing seat with a maximum capacity of 13 kg, which is approximately 9 to 12 months old.

Other Pros Worthy to Note:

  • Foot muff keeps baby warm and fits all the graco pushchairs
  • There is a window at the hood for ventilation, and it’s also removable and washable
  • Bumper bar is easily removable
  • Adjustable Calf support
  • The seat padding is removable and washable

Graco Mosaic One: The Cons

Even though locking the swivel wheel is simple and easy, it does require you to reach down where the wheels are and so there is a risk of touching the wheels sometimes (especially when it’s covered with mud) and so can get your hands dirty (good thing you always have some wet wipes!)

Another thing we’ve noticed when we tested it is that the back support doesn’t let your toddler sit completely upright. This may not necessarily be a bad thing – that is, unless your little prince or princess prefers to sit straight all the time.

As we have mentioned before, the Mosaic One when used as a pushchair, is a regular buggy so don’t expect it to be an all-terrain pushchair and give a very comfy ride when used off-road or on bumpy grounds. On the plus side however it’s easy to steer and maneuver around obstacles and on kerbs.

It has a fairly sized shopping basket which can hold up to 5 kg, but it’s not accessible when the seat is fully reclined. This however is a common issue with many Baby Pushchairs.

When you fold it, the hood can easily touch the wheels, so make sure you prevent this from happening, especially if the hood is light-coloured.

The foam-covered handles aren’t adjustable and may be too low for taller users. So it’s perfect for short people, and I wouldn’t recommend it for taller people, or for couples with a big height difference between them.

Lastly, if your car seat gets damaged for some reason, you wouldn’t be able to buy it on its own.

Conclusion

Over-all, the Graco Mosaic One Travel System is a great, nippy, lightweight all-rounder. If you don’t have much room in your house or boot and want a lightweight, affordable pushchair that you can use from birth until your darling baby’s toddler years, the Mosaic One does tick all those boxes.
